Peabody Public Library's Community Seed Library grows community, encourages sustainability, inspired life-long education, supports food security, and preserves biodiversity.
HOW TO GET FREE SEEDS
Visit PPL during normal business hours. All seeds are located in the former card catalog in the lobby. Seeds are in small envelopes. Each envelope contains between 8 to 20 seeds. The amount of seeds in a packet depend on how much we have in stock of a particular variety.
WANT TO DONATE SOME SEEDS?
Donated seeds should be clean, and dry. Please label with seed type, variety, and the date harvested. We prefer seeds from heirloom, non-GMO plants as they can be saved for future planting. Hybrid seeds can be used for planting, but unfortunately, not for seed saving for future years.
***This Community Seed Library is open to all members of the community. A library card is not required.***
Each Wednesday, weather permitting, we deliver materials to patrons who are unable to visit the library.
